Mahama's exit will end disasters – Pastors 17750229

President John Dramani Mahama must resign to save Ghana from further disasters in the future, a group of Pastors calling themselves International Bishops and Pastors Intercessors Network have proposed.

The Pastors in a release stated that until the first gentleman is voted out of power, the country would continue to experience misfortune after another.

Speaking on Adom FM’s Midday News on Monday, Rev Edmund Aryee, Presiding Bishop of the group, cited unfortunate occurrences in the country during the reign of President Mahama to back his claim.

“There have been strange happenings, loss of lives, loss of properties, fire outbreaks etc. during his reign…,” he said.

The over three-year-old power crisis popularly known as 'dumsor' that has crippled several Ghanaian businesses and the cholera outbreaks that killed several Ghanaians, he said, are all indications of worse things to happen in Ghana if ‘Mahama continues to remain in government’.

“I know of a couple that during their wedding ceremony, their generator exploded and they are all dead...all because of Dumsor…,” he said.

The June 3rd flood and explosion which killed about two hundred Ghanaians, he added, is the last straw that has broken their backs and hence the intensification of their calls for President Mahama to be booted out of power.

He added that though the group has been praying for national leadership, they still believe that until Mahama and his NDC government exit political office, Ghanaians ought to brace themselves for more of such disasters.

He discounted claims that as Pastors, they don’t have a say in politics, insising they have a stake in the nation as taxpayers and persons whose members also passed away during the Accra disaster.

“When the President messes up, we also have to change…the man says he has a dead goat leadership (style), so the only thing you have to do is to wait for 2016 and vote for a new leader…,” he added.
