Anonymous hackers along with other elite hackers from around the world have been attacking Israeli cyber space for ages, but since the beginning of Israeli attacks on Gaza there has been a massive increase in such attacks under the banner of #OpSaveGaza. This has been accepted by Israeli based newspaper Haaretz and Israeli homeland security website itself. Haaretz newspaper which itself got hacked by Anonymous few days ago reports that serious attack on the Israeli Internet providers forced the authorities to block access from abroad.
DDoS attack has caused severe disruption on the network for two hours on 22nd July 2014. An increase of 1,000% in attacks from abroad has been noticed since the beginning of the military campaign, according to a report published by the newspaper.

Another report published by Israeli homeland security website also confirms that due to Distributed Denial-Of-Service (DDoS) on Israeli ISP, the Internet browsing in the country was extremely slow.
Over the last day data stored on many Israeli internet servers has faced an attack called Distributed Denial-Of-Service (DDoS), resulting in extremely slow browsing times, making it almost impossible to surf.
The current attack is only one part of a long chain of attempts to attack Israeli cyberspace with the most prominent attacks including the temporary takeover of the Israeli page of “Statusim Mezayanim – Outstanding Statuses”. The strikes failed to damage the critical infrastructure of both IEC and Israel Railways and another example was the temporary takeover of the broadcasting Channel 10 site. What is clear is that these attempts will only deepen, become more sophisticated, more difficult to detect and could potentially cause massive destruction.
Point to be noted is that these attacks were carried out before Anonymous urged hackers to join them in a massive cyber attack on Israel. What will happen if and when Anonymous and other hackers will join forces? Answer: Massive Destruction of Israeli cyberspace.
