When a frog is put in a vessel of water and heated

As the temperature of the water rises, the frog is able to adjust its body temperature accordingly.

The frog keeps on adjusting with increase in temperature...

Just when the water is about to reach boiling point, the frog is not able to adjust any more...

At that point the frog decides to jump out...

The frog tries to jump but is unable to do so, because it has lost all its strength in adjusting with the rising water temperature...

Very soon the frog dies.

What killed the frog ?

OK it's simple, the frog killed itself. In the sense that when the temperature of the water begun to change, it could have tried jumping out of the vessel but it decided to adapt to it. Later when it became so unbearable it had already burnt all its body calories while adapting to temperature change, and couldn't jump out because it was weak.

Kudos man. i thought it was going to be one hell of a teaser cos under most circumstances people would have said it was the boiling water that killed the frog.

i thought the person who put the frog inside the vessel at the first place killed the frog
