HIDDEN CHROME GAME
There's a game hidden in Chrome's “unable to connect to the Internet” page. It features a T-Rex desperately trying to escape from some sort of nightmarish desert without running into any cacti on his way out. To find him, all you need to do is disconnect from the Internet (the easiest method is just to toggle the Wi-Fi or Modem off on your computer), then try to load a page. When the “unable to connect to the Internet” message pops up — y'know, the one with the dinosaur on it? — just hit the space bar. The dino will start running, and away you go.
HIDDEN FACEBOOK MESSENGER GAME
#1 BASKETBALL
Once you’ve launched the Facebook Messenger app, load up any conversation.
-Select the “basketball” emoji and send it to the other person. (You will find the emojis on your keyboard)
-Launch the basketball game by tapping on the basketball emoji you just sent. A basketball and a hoop will show up.
Flick the basketball with your finger to play the game.
You score a point when the ball lands up in the hoop.
If you manage to score a point, happy emojis pop up. If you lose, then you’re confronted with sad emojis.
#2 CHESS
You can access Facebook chess by typing a secret code into a chat window of the person you want to play chess with. This works on both the Web Version and FB Messenger
The secret code: @fbchess play
The game is a little tricky and will need getting used to.
-Type “@fbchess play” into the chat screen of the person you want to play with. This will reveal the chess board.
-The person that initiates the game will by default play White and is also allowed to make the first move.
-Every move needs to begin with the prefix “@fbchess.”
-So, if you want to move your pawn (P) to square E3, you would use the command “@fbchess Pe3.”
-The descriptive notation for the pieces is: K for king, Q for queen, B for bishop, N for knight, R for rook and P for pawn.
-Need help with the game? Type “@fbchess help.”
Some more info:
“@fbchess resign” ends the game
#3 FOOTBALL
-Select the Football emoji and send it to that person
-Start playing by tapping the emoji to send it flying up the screen
-Keep tapping the orb again and again to keep it bouncing in the air
-You can find the scores in the chat window
The ball keeps bouncing around the screen realistically and the game is interesting enough to keep you occupied.
The idea is very simple; as all you have to do is keep tapping to make sure the ball remains in the air. But once you start playing, you’ll see that it may not be as easy as it seems, as there are various tricks that make the game more difficult.
Agreed, they may not be the best games, but they’re still worth knowing about, especially if they can get you out of boredom when you have nothing else to do and with no game installed on your smartphone or tablet.
