The Member of Parliament for Manhyia in the Ashanti region Mathew Opoku Prempeh has stated that “only uneducated minds” will vote for the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the upcoming 2016 elections.

Only “uneducated minds” will vote NDC in 2016 - Napo 97041066.295

According to him, any serious minded Ghanaian should be looking for an alternative party to replace the “non-performing” Mahama administration come the general elections.

“It is only an uneducated mind that will continue to vote for the NDC government, a government bereft of ideas, a government bereft of policy and a government bereft of credibility.

“We need a government that will prosper Ghana and prosper Ghanaians. This power situation we find ourselves in today is avoidable.

“We need not be in this situation but for a bad government, this situation has been uncalled for but for a visionless government.

"We need a government that will think about all Ghanaians and not just NDC,” the medical doctor told the media in Kumasi Wednesday after he submitted his nomination forms for his re-election.

He also advised Ghanaians to be mindful of who they vote for during national elections since a wrong choice of candidate will have dire consequences for the entire nation.

Well you are write about that, The talk is very true but an insult as-well. for those who see Ghana at large and observe the economy, inflation, dollar depreciation, expenditure and have no political affiliation when it comes to elections, not even all will agree with this man.

Remember that those in our villages see different perspective than most off us in the towns and cities. most of Ghanians in our villages vote for the NDC. Do you know how many axe, machete, hoe and other farming equipment they share in the villages during their term in office and during campaign periods. becomes those guys don't care about Domsur, Television, Radio, economy, inflation, dollar depreciation, whatsapp, Facebook or any other English grammar , including go,come,site.....

Hope the NPP do not over look that and always uses their book long and big grammars, then looses elections 2016 and take the people of Ghana's vote to court again.

The man mentionef "educated mind". I know this is quite different from that of one day ho has been through school. The educated mind is well able to do critical analysis of issues happening around. That is what is or quired to make the best decision during the elections. So it's not totally insulting. It's just the plain fact.

Those in the villages should also be interested in the greater good of the country and posterity. Not just just what benefits the get in the short term.

You get to Know more about the state of Ghanians when you are in the town and cities which you have access to tv, radio and internet and site such as our that keep you informed. but the villages don't have that privilege. Once a villager was asked on Otec Fm , What is economy, she simple reply, " who is he and where does he come from. she does not care about the economy or any other thing like dollar depreciation... all she cares about is butter and bread, and if the NDC give that woman an equipment to farm for her butter and bread, she simply vote for them. Why would persons of her likes vote for the NPP WHO ALWAYS VOMIT OUT BIG WORDS THAT THIS WOMEN DOES NOT UNDERSTAND.

Let take for instance HackGh members which i can say 100% that we are all educated to some level, but it does not necessary mean we are all going to vote NPP .... This statement then becomes and insult to such people Who uses other means and consideration when voting... so yes there is an insult related to his statement.

let say you live in Mampong that recently having a major development water project by the NDC, and you vote for the Ndc because they supplied good water to drink..... that will be your basis for voting , but does not necessary means you are uneducated.

OK i get your point. But politicians will always be politicians. hehehe. Just like the president saying smart businesses were not laying off workers in this "dumsor" period. He was taken completely out of context by critics. But he only wanted to encourage them not to lay the workers off.

Exactly, Is always the big grammars that is killing the NPP, let take for instance 2012 IEA debate which all Ghanians know very well it was worn by Dr Abu sakara of the CPP... if you observed the debate very well you will notice Nana Akufo Addo using big grammars that made no sense to about 50% of the people who were watching that day.....

The Npp should be very keen on grass root Campaigning like the NDC have been doing for years. instead just targeting educating people with big English and words hoping they are the once who will vote them to power. NPP would like Ghanians to think of them as educated politician,,, Yet they took Ghanians to court to question our votes and wanted to annul the power of Ghanian voters when they lost election 2012... FOOD FOR THOUGHT FOR THE NPP

yep he's right somehow but also an insult too. Because for example as admin said earlier in his comment that taking members of hackgh into consideration, which everyone of us is educate, but not all would vote for the NPP, then its an insult to say only uneducated people would vote for the NDC. Everyone and how he/she chooses the political party they wanna vote for.
Basically, Its mostly only those who know how the country is economically down and so on who would never again vote for the NDC for the second time if they did the fist time.
NPP really needs to sit and correct every mistake they did, if not they would be taken by surprise again.
