for torrenting yes you can use it but if socket 5 is not working for you just change to socket 4, HTTPS, HTTP it works perfectly on any of them.
in a browser too yes you can use it. changes your location.

@flexbmens, this is not a free browsing. They are proxies that can change your location.. When u use them in your browser it will change ur location of where u surfing the net from.
