Following former aide to the Chief of Staff’s comments which likened celebrities above 30 years of age and still unmarried to “prostitutes” and further claimed they were to be considered “irresponsible,” outspoken musician, A Plus, has fired shots at the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) faithful, saying he is not in his right frame of mind.

Various celebrities including Yvonne Nelson, Lydia Forson and Sarkodie in a series of tweets registered their disgust about government’s failure to find lasting a solution to the frequent power outages with the hashtag #DumsorMustEnd.

This seemed to have angered Alhaji Halidu Haruna as he unleashed insults on these celebrities. In a Facebook post, he likened them to “prostitutes”, claiming that the celebrities were to be considered "irresponsible" as they were likely above 30 years of age and still unmarried.

He added that the NDC government would not pay heed to the voices of people who have “their mind[s] upside down and they don't sound reasonable again' because of 'the prostitution that they are engage[d] in”.

In a sharp rebuttal, A Plus posted this on his Facebook page: “There are just too many stupid people in this country. Who said every woman wants to marry? Who said marriage makes a person responsible? What makes any person in his right frame of mind think that every single lady over 30 years of age is a prostitute.

Many are mad, few are roaming......”
