Afia Schwarzenegger slams military guards for attacking her

Controversial radio and TV personality, Valentina Afia Agyeiwaa, popularly known as Afia Schwarzenegger, too to social media platform, Facebook, to lash out at some military guards stationed at the Ghana Television.



Afia said the treatment meted out to her on Thursday by the guards were uncalled for.

According to a message she posted on her Facebook page, Friday, she was attacked by the military guard at post while she was heading for an interview on the TV station.

It is not clear what caused the said attack.

Below is the message she posted:



"Yesterday at the entrance of Gtv Ghana before my interview ..I was attacked by the military guy at post together with some nitwit who calls himself security

This is a lil advice to the men in green...In this democratic era some of us won't take words like hey, hey, her, her, from any drop out becos he is in army uniform...And please dnt let ur uniform deceive you cos u might be surprised by some of our bodyguards.

Gtv should bow their head in shame for planting soldiers at the entrance of a tv station to harass a guest on their show... and honestly in this modern day world one does not need a tv station to plot a coup whoever tot that was smart should go back to the thinking table!!!!! Am a comedienne not a f**king terrorist!!!!!"

We have pampered our soldiers for too long. They training for six months and they think they better than everybody else. Any well built individual can just join the military. It is time for them to grow up. In America people fear police officers more than soldiers. All my checks shows that it is only in Ghana that civilians fear soldiers more than police. Instead of defending us they rather harass us. Can you imagine a military man wears his uniform even though he is off duty just because he is going to town or traveling? woe betide you if you cross him, he will slap you into another ethnicity.

While I totally condemned the alleged harassment by the soldier. I think this Schwarzenegger lady should sometimes be ignored. I don't like the way she carries herself about. She thinks she's better than other people. Let her know it's only by some special grace that she has the opportunity to be on TV.

For her information, there are post grads with Master's degrees etc in the military. And once it gets to your turn to guard a place you have to do just that. It's not fair to call the drop outs just because they are standing on guard.

I'm very sure she was expecting some preferential treatment because she was on TV.
