pls admin i suggest that user interface(ui) of the site be very simple, too much graphics free. I belong to other popular forums in nigeria like nairaland, and the ui is very simple which consumes less data and also make the page load faster.........hope this would be considered thanks.....hackgh 4 lyf

OK guys, al this would be change once we move unto a new domain, am always amaze by always comparing our own forum with the Nigerians, but we should also have our own mindset and decisions. i will also like you to take a look at the recent forums in town now, inexpertly those in the usa and other countries, they even add pictures to all their post.

HOW FORUMS WORKS DOES DAYS HAVE CHANGE AND HAVE A LOT OF FEATURES NOW IF YOU REALLY KNOW CODING?

I also suggest that we need images to guide the forum... eg as soon as i see shata1 profile pics, i immediately know its him without even without reading his name and that apples to all images on the forum including jokes and others.. but i do agree with you guys there are too many images  i guess. i will do something about them soon .thanks for the suggestions, it makes us better ...

I agree with you guys somehow but i think hackgh doesn't take that much bandwidth and it loads faster for me comparing it to other forums, about nairaland its way too simple for my liking. Just compared the bandwidth differences and there is not really that much differences between the two forums you made mention. hackgh takes about 235kb and nairaland takes about 205kb of bandwidth to completely open the whole page and about the speed is a matter of seconds between the two. but i think rather we can merge and regroup some of the Topics and subs to make it more faster to load for though's with slow Internet connection. Lest we forget this are two separate forum with different goals so lest stick to what we have.

I totally agree. Re-Organising of content will help speed stuff. I personally think areas like books and the like under the lifestyle thread be regouped.

Concerning grahpics, what's the web without graphics? A little eye candy aint bad.

well i think graphics makes a page lively ...
we all have to sacrifice something to gain here and there...
wifout graphic it will jux look like the plain old sites we r accustomed too
we access other more graphical site day in and day out......
i suggest it stays or maybe reduced jux a lil......
my take.......
