Has your OS been showing you this message ‘Windows 7. This copy is not genuine’ every time you switch on your computer? This means that you are either using a pirated version of Windows 7 or that you’ve outlived the trial period. Instead of going through the hassle of purchasing a genuine copy of the OS, follow the steps listed below and make that message disappear for good.
1. Start your computer.
2. In the Start Menu, run a search for CMD.
3. Right click on CMD and select ‘run as administrator’.
4. Run the program and a command box will open.
4. Type “SLMGR –REARM” in the box, press enter and wait for a few minutes.
5. A dialog box that will read “Command completed successfully. Please restart the system for the changes to take effect”.
6. Restart your computer.
After you restart the computer, the ‘Not Genuine’ message will no longer appear on your screen.
