Following the successful launch of Windows 10
operating system world wide, Microsoft have
quietly updated their life cycle page. From what we
saw, Microsoft already ended mainstream support
for Windows 7 PC’s on the 13th of January, 2015.
Extended support for Windows 7 PC’s ends January
14th, 2020. Quite a long time.
The more interesting news is that starting 31st of
October 2016, OEM’s will stop shipping new
computers with Windows 7 pre-intstalled. Retail
software sales for Windows 8 and 8.1 is already
ended to pave way for the new Windows 10. You
