Liwin says he lost Kumawood award because of money

Kumawood star Kwadwo Nkansah Liwin is not happy about losing the ‘Most Favourite Actor’ award at the recently held Kumawood and Akoben Movie awards.

The actor in a video said his loss was as a result of failing to embark on a project the organisers of the annual awards assigned him.

He said the organisers of the awards together with Luv FM, a subsidiary of Multimedia who were sponsors of the 2014 event needed his services but they failed to pay the amount he charged which made him lose the award to Bill Asamoah at the event held on 28 December 2014 at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Kumasi.

Anyway, did they really have a "Most favourite actor" category? Is there any such thing as "most favourite"?

Just a little education here. The last time I checked this was the meaning of FAVOURITE: a person or thing regarded with special preference.

It is synonymous with " esteemed'', "best loved" etc. The word "favourite" in itself is an absolute. So it would be a redundancy to use with it "most"

The correct one should be "Favourite Actor" category. Kumawood should come again.

Corruption in Ghana is never reducing but always growing.Why must someone give out money for an award before he gets it? If so then it isnt an award cos awards are given to people for their good work done.
its just sad how corruption has eaten the minds of people in our world.
